The New Covenant - Part 1

First off, I have to thank Scott Faulk. He had a lesson over the two covenants a couple of months ago and it struck a cord with me. I asked him to email me his notes so I could pick his brain and do my own studying. Its been a great lesson for me. Im starting off with some verses from Romans. Hope to have more up soon.

Romans 8
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Scott made a good point in mentioning that most people identify the New Testament with the first four gospels (it starts with the life of Christ). While that is true, the first four gospels are NOT the New Testament. It is one of the most common made mistakes among Christians. "Not identifying the New Covenant is a trap that Satan has used to keep us ignorant".

The New Covenant was to be written on the hearts of men not on tabs of stone.

Kendra

Kendra turned 6 last weekend! I cant believe she is 6 years old! Its so cheesy to say, but I feel like i just brought her home yesterday. Wasnt it yesterday? Kendra has grown so much and so fast. There are those days when I wish she I could wrap her up in her blanket and hold her close to me. Most days, she wants to run, jump, skip or ride her bike right past me. As much as I would love to keep her a baby forever, I know thats impossible and would be an injustice to her. I love watching her learn and grow to this amazingly breath-taking little lady. Thank you Lord for my sweet baby angel.

That's my Logan

So much has been going on. I will be glad when I can breathe again. It started last Wednesday. I dont get to work out much but when I do, Ive noticed the kids act their worst. I kept telling Logan, "dont stick your finger in the treadmill. Dont stick your finger in the treadmill!" So what does he do? He sticks not one but all his fingers in the treadmill! I had to pull the emergency stop and try to get his fingers out. After I examined him head to toe - he was fine - I about died from embarrassment. It just so happen that that day the rec room was full. Im sure everyone thought I was the worse mom ever. We got back to the apt and bandaged him up.

Friday night after Kendra's dance rehearsal we went out to eat for dinner. The kids were wonderful. That should have been my first cue that something was going to happen. As the server was bring out our check, Logan started to climb up the back of his high chair. I guess it got top heavy and he went tumbling back. Somehow, he got his feet stuck in the gap of the high chair and when he landed, the back of his head hit the ground. That wasnt the worse part. As he landed, the high chair smacked him in the face. I thought we were going to have to rush him to the hospital. His forehead swelled instantly. After a couple of hours he showed no signs or symptoms of a concussion. Praise the Lord.
Saturday after the recital, Logan was running across the lawn to meet a friend. Now, when Logan runs his head is down. Well Logan ran right smack into a tree and cut up his already injured forehead.

Sunday morning Kendra and Logan were playing. What else could happen but Logan gets a head to the cheek. Logan jumped on Kendra's back and when he did that, Kendra's head came up and whacked him in the cheek.

Im so thankful that someone has not reported me to CPS. My poor son. His injuries were so bad, I didnt want to take pictures because they were so bad.

We have Kendra's birthday party coming up this weekend. Its a pool party. So we went out and got him a full body life suit. Im gonna keep that kid in a bubble this weekend.
